Reports suggest that MLS expansion franchise Portland Timbers have come to an agreement with Colombian midfielder Jorge Perlaza.
FutbolRed.com suggests that the 26-year old former Tolima player has been on trial with the Timbers after initially being linked with Philadelphia Union.
The reports says that 'Coach John Spencer gave the nod and the directors of the Portland Timbers started performing the procedures for the signing of Deportes Tolima attacker Jorge Perlaza who has been the highlight of recent seasons.'
Perlaza, who scored 15 league goals in 23 starts for Tolima last season, will join the Timbers on loan with the view for a permanent deal.
