Port Vale are eyeing former Manchester City striker Alex Nimely.
The 23-year-old is a free agent after being released by the Premier League giants in the summer.
The Sentinel says Vale are keen to add to their firepower and named Nimely in their reserve team for yesterday afternoon's home game with Wrexham.
After joining Manchester City as a teenager, the forward won England under-20 honours and had loan spells at Middlesbrough, Coventry and Crystal Palace.
