New Port Vale boss Bruno Ribeiro hopes to forge a relationship with Manchester United.

Ribeiro, 40, took over at the League One club today and is a close friend of Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

"Now we are looking for our players and what we need and after we'll decide what's best - some players on loan or not," he told Sky Sports.

"But after we see and if I need some players from Manchester United I will call him. If he can't help, it's not a problem.

"But for now I need looking for our players, it's more important."
