Port Vale assistant manager Mark Grew is delighted with the loan signing of Sunderland winger Billy Knott.

Grew is a big fan of the former Chelsea junior.

He told The Sentinel: "I love him. He came on and I think he was a big part of why we got on top of the game, he has done himself no harm looking ahead to Saturday.

"He is excellent on the ball, plays really good balls into the strikers' feet and, as you could see on set pieces, he can knock a great ball into the box. So I am looking forward to seeing him start a game."
