Newcastle United defender Remie Streete is interesting Port Vale.
The Evening Chronicle says former Port Vale boss Micky Adams had lined up a month's loan move for the 19-year-old defender before stepping down today following a run of six straight defeats.
That leaves caretaker boss Rob Page to decide whether to press ahead with the deal for the defender, from South Shields.
The Valiants haven't kept a clean sheet all season and were previously considering a loan move for a defender from the Championship.
