Former Aston Villa midfielder Isaiah Osbourne has missed out on a move to Port Vale.
The box-to-box midfielder is being courted by a number of other clubs and Page said Vale have abandoned their efforts to sign him.
Page told The Sentinel: "We recognise that Isaiah has quality, he has pedigree behind him but for whatever reason he finds himself without a club. We along with many other clubs have shown interest.
"He has come in and trained with us and is a great lad but as far as I am concerned now I think the deal is off."
