Port Vale boss Rob Page hopes to sign Crystal Palace defender Ryan Inniss next season.

The 19-year-old central defender has been offered a new contract by Crystal Palace this week having impressed in their academy and on loan at Vale Park.

Page told The Sentinel: "I am in constant contact with Ryan and it was pleasing to see him come up for the game a couple of weeks back.

"He was keen to still be a part of it with the lads, which was great.

"He is a great kid and is years above his age - he's a mature lad and a warrior."
