Former Manchester City and Fulham star Rodney Marsh faces the prospect of cleaning the boots of Stoke City's players this week!
Marsh had predicted that the Potters would never get the prime slot on BBC One's flagship football show.
He wrote on Twitter: "If #Stoke are ever the 1st match on MOTD I will drive to Stoke & personally clean every players boots...."
But that all changed after the Potters' win over Chelsea.
Marsh says he is prepared to eat humble pie.
He tweeted: "I officially apologise to Stoke fans. 1st on Match of the Day.
"I gave you my word. If someone sets it up I will drive to Stoke and clean the players boots for kids' charity...
"Lol, the only problem is I have to clean Peter Crouch's boots! You're kidding me."
