Police have interviewed Barnsley boss Daniel Stendel after his alleged assault by Fleetwood Town rival Joey Barton.
The Daily Mail says the German met officers at Oakwell on Monday.
Discussions are said to have lasted for more than an hour.
South Yorkshire Police said on Monday afternoon in a statement that their investigation is ongoing - but it can be revealed they have spoken to Barnsley's 45–year-old boss.
Stendel underwent emergency dental work after claims he was barged from behind by former Burnley captain Barton in the tunnel at the end of Saturday's clash between the two sides at Barnsley.
