Poland manager Czeslaw Michniewicz has joked he'd like to see Robert Lewandowski join Liverpool.
The Poland striker has announced his time "with Bayern Munich is over" in the last 24 hours as his agent Pini Zahavi negotiates a move to Barcelona.
Michniewicz has offered his opinion on where the prolific forward should up next season, stating: “I'd like to see Lewandowski in Liverpool since I'm a supporter of the club."
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp managed Lewandowski during the duo's Borussia Dortmund days, winning back-to-back Bundesliga titles together and reaching the final of the Champions League in 2013.
Only in March, Klopp declared Lewandowski the best player he's worked with: "It actually won't be fair to say that about any other player except Lewy.
"What he has made out of his potential, how he pushed himself to become the player he is today, that's extraordinary."
