Former Manchester United academy chief Warren Joyce has recalled the welcome he had for Paul Pogba upon his return from Juventus in 2016.
When Pogba returned to Carrington in 2016, he went to the gym in the academy building to see some of the youngsters he had played with and been close to in his first spell at United.
There he bumped into ten Under-23s coach Joyce, reports the Manchester Evening News, who teased Pogba by telling him he didn't know why United had spent £89million on bringing him back to the club.
"We've got someone better than you anyway. Bigger, stronger, fitter, nastier, hungrier," Joyce told Pogba.
"Who? Who? Who?", replied an intrigued Pogba.
"Little Scotty?" said Pogba, laughing at the memory of a young boy three years his junior who he had competed with in the regular Friday afternoon cage games at the academy, when age groups mixed together and Pogba was like a big brother to some of the younger players.
"Little Scotty isn't so little anymore," Joyce told Pogba.
