Warren Joyce is the favourite to become Manchester United's new U23 coach.

The Englishman spent 12 years as a coach at the club and in 2008 was co – manager of the reserves alongside current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Joyce parted ways with Melbourne City recently after two years with the Australian club.

United are without a U23 coach since Ricky Sbragia was sacked three weeks ago.

The 54-year-old has a strong relationship with Paul Pogba, who has been linked with an exit in recent weeks.
