Lukas Podolski was thrilled to open his Arsenal account today.
The former FC Cologne man fired the Gunners ahead in the 31st minute in their eventual 2-0 win at Liverpool and admitted it was nice to net his first goal for his new club following his summer move to North London.
"It was a good day for us and for me, scoring my first goal for Arsenal, " Podolski , who set up the second goal for fellow new boy Santi Cazorla, told Sky Sports.
"It was a great pass (from Cazorla), I got the ball on my left foot and scored. I'm very happy.
"We've only played three matches, we have five points and we need to play like that and keep winning matches."
