Pochettino proud as Tottenham land West Ham draw

Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for his Tottenham side as they fought back for a share of the points with West Ham United on Sunday.

Spurs found themselves two goals down in the 62nd minute when Diafra Sakho added to Cheikhou Kouyate's 22nd-minute opener to force a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane.

Danny Rose pulled one goal back in the 81st minute before Harry Kane was able to compose himself to finish for the 14th time in the league after having his injury-time penalty saved and the fighting performance delighted Pochettino.

"When you analyse the full 90 minutes I think we deserved one point," said the Argentine.

"When they scored it was difficult for us to play, because they play very deep and their counter attack is very good with Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia who are very fast.

"In the second half I thought some decisions were against us, the second goal was offside. But we showed character, that's the most important thing.

"Going into the last 10 minutes at 2-0 down, to finish the game 2-2 is something to be proud of."
