Mauricio Pochettino admitted his frustration after Southampton lost 3-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Saints took a very early lead when Jay Rodriguez swooped on an errant backpass from Michael Essien but conceded three times in the second half to suffer a second loss on the trot.
After the match, Pochettino was critical of his side for going down the way they did but was trying to remain positive after losing only to league leaders Arsenal and the second-placed Blues since August.
"In the second half, I think we were doing well, I think we were controlling the game before we conceded the goals," he told Sky Sports.
"We are obviously angry with the end result. Overall we are frustrated and disappointed."
He added at the post-match press conference: "They're clearly two teams that are going to be in the fighting to win the league.
"Both teams have their strengths, have their weapons to inflict a lot of danger to their opposition."
