Mauricio Pochettino was delighted with his Tottenham side after they breezed through to the Capital One Cup semi-finals in style.
Spurs produced arguably their best performance under Pochettino by beating Newcastle United 4-0 in the quarter-final at White Hart Lane thanks to goals from Nabil Bentaleb, Nacer Chadli, Harry Kane and Roberto Soldado.
Tottenham have won eight of their past 12 matches in all competitions following a difficult beginning under the Argentine but things are now starting to fall into place in north London with Pochettino at the helm.
"It was fantastic," Pochettino said. "It was a fantastic night, a very good performance from the team.
"I am very happy because I think tonight was the first time that there was the relation between the team and supporters.
"It was brilliant at White Hart Lane and I enjoyed it a lot tonight."
When asked if it was the best showing since he arrived from Southampton in the summer, Pochettino replied with: "I don't know but maybe. Maybe.
"I think some games we played very well but this result was important for us.
"It has home, it is in front of our supporters and we go to the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.
"We know Tottenham have a lot of tradition in the cups and I think this victory is very important for us."
The four-time league cup winners will meet League One side Sheffield United in the semi-finals with the first leg to take place at White Hart Lane on either January 20 or 21 and the return bout to be staged at Bramall Lane the following week.
