Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has cast doubt on their top four potential.
Asked whether it was logical at the start of the season to think Spurs could finish in the Premier League's top four, he gave a telling response.
"Anything can happen in football but if we analyse every club, maybe our position now is realistic. It is the reality," he admitted. "My dream in the future is to fight for the Premier League title and maybe one day we will have the same results as Manchester City.
"My dream is also to play in the Champions League but if we can't do that, then it is better to play in the Europa League [than nothing]. We need to use the experience of this year (when Spurs were knocked out in the last 32) to be better next year."
