Skysports.com reports Plymouth are closing in on the signing of Celtic striker Cillian Sheridan. The Championship outfit are believed to have held talks with Celtic about taking the Republic of Ireland Under 21 international on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a loan spell at Motherwell for the second half of last season and Celtic are prepared to farm him out again so that he can continue his development.
