Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa admits Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp loves Croatian players.
Pletikosa is a target for Spurs next season.
"Frankly, I have never seen a foreign coach who loves so much the players from Croatia and he has a very warm attitude to me," said Pletikosa of a boss who already has Luka Modric, Niko Kranjcar and Vedran Corluka in his squad.
"Redknapp invited me to London for a medical examination, but my agent told him that I wouldn't be able to fully play until towards the end of February.
"On the trip, I met with Redknapp. We talked and decided that, given my injury, a transfer couldn't yet be completed. We have spoken often on the phone. He wants to see me in his team, but I told him I can only go if I'm not needed at Spartak."
