Diego Placente is free to speak with Premiership clubs after being officially released by Spanish Segunda Liga Celta Vigo yesterday.

The Argentina international wing-back had a year left on his deal, but refused to consider playing in Spain's Second Division. Placente has attracted interest from Wigan Athletic, Liverpool and Middlesbrough and as a free agent can sign for a new club outside the transfer windows.
