Miralem Pjanic has moved to clarify a deleted social media post which appeared to celebrate the firing of Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman.

Currently on-loan with Besiktas, Pjanic took to social media when learning of Koeman's axe by stating: "Know when to let that s*** go".

The midfielder would quickly delete the post before eventually posting a longer message today:

"it is easy to make mistakes and take things out of context," he began.

“I respect everyone and I will continue. I wish Ronald Koeman the best of luck on his journey. I have never tried to harm anyone and I have tried to respect everyone and everything."
