Juventus hero Andrea Pirlo has no doubts about the quality of Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

De Jong will move to Barcelona this summer.

"De Jong is really good," ex-Italy international Pirlo said. "I have followed him for several years and advised Juve to follow him with more attention on a number of times.

"But Barça appeared and were better and quicker and got the deal done."

Meanwhile, Juve vice president Pavel Nedved said: "Frenkie reminds me of Pirlo a lot."
