Phoenix welcome Adidas as new apparel sponsor

Wellington Phoenix has signed a four year deal with global sportswear giant Adidas to design a new clothing range that includes playing kits, leisurewear and supporters' gear. "The Phoenix is an exciting team, and this is an exciting time for football in New Zealand," said Adidas New Zealand manager David Huggett.

"We're looking forward to helping New Zealand's only professional football team achieve their ambition of making it to the top of the A-League."

"Although Adidas is best known in New Zealand for our strong support of rugby, football is a major driver of our company globally. We're delighted to be able to bring our long history and expertise in football apparel into this relationship with the Phoenix."

Phoenix chief executive Nathan Greenham said: "This partnership is a significant achievement for both the Wellington Phoenix and Adidas. The four year agreement will allow us to showcase the best kit and the latest in apparel technology. It certainly adds an element of excitement to our upcoming campaign."

Adidas also has current deals with Hyundai A-League rivals Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC.
