Philadelphia Union supporters have been keen to learn a bit more about new signing Yann Ekra.
The 22-year old Ivory Coast striker joined the Union last week after a spell with Harrisburg City Islanders and arrives at PPL Park having spent some time in Europe.
The PennLive blog received a number of emails from Union supporters regarding Ekra who lands in Chester after experiencing life in France, England and Greece.
The Bnog reported: "At fourteen he started playing for the French National squad at the U15, U16, U17, and U18 levels. When he turned seventeen he signed his first professional contract with Hull City.
"After that he was on loan for six months to the first division Greek team Panionios in Athens. He then returned to Hull City after that and at the end of his contract with them he went back to France and signed with Chateauroux, a second division French team."
Ekra then moved to Harrisburg where he scored 10 goals from 45 outings in the USL PRO league and kept fit in the winter with the Harrisburg Heat indoor team.
