Former Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan says Robbie Brady chose the right time to leave for Hull City.
Brady was the last Ireland international to make the breakthrough at United under Ferguson, and Phelan believes he made the right decision to quit the club in search of first team football at Hull City.
"I think he chose wisely. It's hard for an up and coming player who has the eyes of Manchester United on them to take that opportunity and then sort of not given the opportunity to break through because of the quality already there.
"It was a bold decision to move on and that's a good quality to have."
