Former Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan fears for his old club against Manchester City today. While many pundits are tipping United to cash in on City's mini-demise, former Manchester United coach Mike Phelan believes they are still a massive force.
He said: "In these big games, these derby games, your top players need to perform and need to show up, and I am sure they will be ready for it.
"City seem to be showing a little bit of inconsistency at the moment but that happens with teams sometimes.
"You take your eye off the game a little bit and it can upset you, but City are a top team, with top players.
"The loss of David Silva could be something they miss but I don't think he played in the game last season, and City went on to win 4-1.
"I actually thing there are goals in this game with the strike force of both teams. I think this could be an even 2-2."
