Former France midfielder Emmanuel Petit says a move to Arsenal would not have guaranteed success for Mykhaylo Mudryuk.

Mudryk signed for Chelsea last season ahead of Arsenal when leaving Shakhtar Donetsk.

Petit, who played for both clubs, told Wettfreunde: "There are also no guarantees that he would have prevailed at Arsenal.

"But of course, the chances would have been greater because the squad there is better structured & there is significantly more stability."

Mudryk struck for Chelsea in their FA Cup win against Leeds in midweek.
