Peterborough boss not expecting Samuelsen, Angol to dwell on West Brom penalty misses

Graham Westley does not believe Martin Samuelsen or Lee Angol will be too affected by their penalty shortcomings for Peterborough United.

West Ham United loanee Samuelsen and talented forward Angol both had their spot-kicks saved by West Bromwich Albion keeper Ben Foster in the FA Cup fourth round replay shootout on Wednesday.

The misses led to a 4-3 defeat on penalties for the League One side after it ended 1-1 at the end of extra-time at London Road but Westley only had positive words to say about the pair as well as his squad as a whole.

"They showed what good quality players they are. It's a young squad but a squad packed with quality," he said.

"You saw an attacking thrust and if they keep working at the rate they are they will not be League One players for long. Anyone can miss a penalty and both Martin and Lee showed courage to go up there.

"Both will have learned. (Darren) Fletcher missed, an experienced player cracked under pressure, and I don't think you ever want to dwell on those moments."
