Peter Crouch is delighted with his first weeks at Burnley.

Crouch arrived as a replacement for Sam Vokes who was sold to Stoke on deadline day and the frontman made no secret of his desire to have another crack at the Premier League.

“I was very keen," he said of his move to East Lancashire. “I knew that Vokes was looking to go to Stoke and for me it was a no-brainer to come here.

“The club is in the Premier League, I know a few of the players, I know the manager is very good. I wanted to play in the Premier League again and at a club that really suits me.

“They're a great bunch of lads, I've seen it, and I saw the quality in training on my first day.

“People talk about the determination and the team spirit but you need good players as well and I think we've got that here."
