Perth Glory to hold talks with ex-Liverpool, Leeds winger Kewell

Perth Glory owner Tony Sage has confirmed that the club will soon hold talks with Harry Kewell.

The former Liverpool, Leeds United and Galatasaray winger is a free agent after departing Melbourne Victory at the end of the last A-League season but is set to discuss the possibility of continuing his career in Australia's top flight with the Glory.

"He said he's shown interest in any club that wants him now that he's got his family issue out of the way he's willing to move anywhere to do it," Sage told radio station 6PR.

"Fortuitously he's coming to Perth not only to talk to us - there's some pro am golf tournament that he's doing for some charity over the next few days in Perth, I think it's Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"So he's bringing his wife with him to check out Perth as well. So that's all good for us to have some talks.

"The only problem that we've got now… we've got strict guidelines on players and how many you can have - so our list is full at the moment.

"That is the only small impediment but I'm sure the FFA may do something given the concessions they gave to Emile Heskey (Newcastle Jets) and (Alessandro) Del Piero (Sydney FC)."
