Andreas Pereira was delighted to be name Manchester United's U21 Player of the Year for 2014/15.
The 19-year old Belgian-born Brazilian midfielder won the prize at United's end-of-season awards night on Tuesday but was unable to collect the trophy as he is currently away with the Brazil U20 team.
However, Pereira spoke in a special video which was screened on the night and also posted on United's Twitter page.
He said: "I want to thank first of all the fans who voted for me. I want to thank all the coaches and the staff at Carrington who helped me and I want to thank Warren [Joyce] and all the reserve team because they were very important for me to win this trophy.
"I congratulate them as well on winning the Under-21s league. I'm very honoured to win this trophy and hopefully I can do well next season. Thank you."
