Sky Sources claim Newcastle's James Perch is currently undergoing a medical at Championship Wigan. The 27-year-old made 37 appearances for Newcastle last season but now appears surplus to requirements at St James' Park.

Perch joined the Magpies from Nottingham Forest in 2010 on a four-year deal meaning he is now entering the final year of his contract.
