Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says that attacker Stevan Jovetic will stay at the club despite the £28m signing of Swansea striker Wilfried Bony earlier this week. Pellegrini said that Bony is a replacement for Alvaro Negredo who has joined Valencia on a loan in September ahead of a move to the Spanish side.
"Bony is replacing Alvaro, not Jovetic. Stevan is a v important player for us." said Pellegrini.
"We sold Alvaro because he had personal problems and did not want to continue here."
