Pellegrini calm on Aguero's scintillating Man City form

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is well aware of the talents of Sergio Aguero but refrained from praising the Argentine ace.

Aguero netted a double in City's 4-1 win at Sunderland on Wednesday night to take his season tally to 14 goals from as many outings but Pellegrini preferred to share his success with the remainder of the team who continue to give the league's leading scorer a helping hand.

"He is an important player but it is not just Sergio Aguero - we play in a way that it is very useful for him to score but it is important for him not just to think about scoring but to play for the team," said Pellegrini.

"There are a lot of good strikers but I said before the last game that I am sure he is one of the best five players in the world because he is not just scoring, he is playing very well."

Aguero has now scored 19 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions this season and his 14 Premier League goals has him three clear of Chelsea's Diego Costa making him the hot favourite for the Golden Boot award.
