Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini was delighted after seeing his side defeat Manchester United 1-0 in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
The reigning Premier League champions edged their neighbours thanks to Sergio Aguero's second-half strike, which came from a low Gael Clichy cross, and Pellegrini was in a very positive mood after the match.
"I am very pleased with the performance. It is always important to win a derby, especially against this Manchester United team which is a great team with great players," Pellegrini said.
"We played really well all the match except the last 10 minutes with less intensity but I am really happy about the result."
City produced their fourth Manchester derby victory in a row - for the first time in 44 years - to remain third on the table, six points behind leaders Chelsea.
