Pele regards Spain as the best national team on the planet - ahead of his own Brazil.

The Brazilian legend said: "During the Euros I told people: 'This time, Spain could win'. And everyone I met told me Spain were like Colombia in South America, which have always promised but never delivered.

"But I insisted and Spain won. I'm a lucky guy, God loves me. If they continue on this path, Spain is a great candidate to win the World Cup.

"Today the team matters more than stars. Spain has great players and also play well, overall. In Brazil there are players like Kaka, Robinho ... But we do not have a way of playing together. We are not a team."
