Pearson laments missed penalties as Leicester fall to Man City

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson felt his side were desperately unlucky to miss out a trio of penalty calls in their loss to Manchester City on Wednesday.

Riyad Mahrez and on two occasions Andrej Kramaric were fouled in penalty positions according to Pearson who was frustrated that not one of the three shouts were given by referee Robert Madley.

"Yes. Simple answer," Pearson told Sky Sports when he was asked if his side should have been awarded the penalties in the 2-0 loss at the Etihad Stadium.

"Three throughout the game - Kramaric in both halves, the second one you could probably say was a bit more marginal, but there was contact. The third one on the line is in the box."

But Pearson quickly pulled his head and insisted that he would not make further comment on the match official who presided over the Foxes' 2-1 loss to Tottenham back on Boxing Day.

"I am not talking about them (referees), sorry. Not tonight," he added.

"You can talk about them and ask the relevant authorities. I don't think there is any point me talking about the referee. Same one we had against Tottenham."
