Pearson admits Leicester's survival hopes are fading

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is well aware that his job of keeping the club in the Premier League is getting tougher every day.

The Foxes are rooted to the foot of England's top flight table ahead of Wednesday night's trip to reigning premiers Manchester City and the boss admits every match requires points if there is to be further Premier League action next season.

"Before a ball is kicked in a season people would look at a fixture like this and say it is a bit of a bonus game," said Pearson.

"But we can't have too many bonus games now here on in because we haven't got enough points for that.

"It is an important game for us and I want us to perform well again but we need to start picking up some scrappy points as well."
