England U21 boss Stuart Pearce is confident Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain won't be fazed by talk of a senior England call.

Oxlade-Chamberlain struck a hat-trick for England U21 against Iceland this week.

"I've no problem with that, because Alex is a very level-headed lad," Pearce said.

"He deserves it for showing what a great talent he is and I'm not worried it might affect him. He is a good team member who gives us a real cutting edge."
