Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko says new gaffer Harry Redknapp has improved the atmosphere around the club.

He told Russia's Gazeta newspaper: "The atmosphere in the dressing room has changed. We smile and make jokes much more.

"It is because Redknapp is a very colourful person. We joke that he looks as if he comes to the stadium straight from the pub.

"But he has been working in the Premier League for a very long time and is respected by us all."
