Patience the key for Beckham as LA Galaxy win again

LA Galaxy manufactured a 3-0 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps on the weekend and David Beckham attributed patience to the positive performance.

The Galaxy remained seven points clear on top of MLS' Western Conference table thanks to a double from Mike Magee and another goal from new signing Robbie Keane.

Beckham said it was a good, patient showing from the Galaxy who managed to equal the club record of 15 clean sheets in a season with five games remaining.

"It was tough because they sat back, and usually we can break teams down. We had to be a bit patient and once we got that first goal we knew that it was going to set us up for the rest of the game. So, it's important to get that first goal and be patient and we did that," Beckham said.

"It's about the whole team," he added in regards to another shut out.

"The defense has been great in many of the games, but obviously the defending start up front and in the midfield and then the back four. But the back four has been great all season. We have to continue to be like that and shut teams out because we're always going to have chances to score."
