Parma have signed Benfica midfielder Danilo Pereira.

The 18-year-old talent had been linked with a number of top clubs in Europe, including Inter, Juventus and Genoa.

However, talks reached a head this evening and Parma released a statement confirming the successful conclusion.

"Parma FC announce they have reached an agreement for the signing on a permanent basis of midfielder Danilo Pereira, who spent last season at Benfica," read the notice.

"The official presentation will be tomorrow afternoon in the Press room of the Collecchio training ground in the presence of Parma general manager Pietro Leonardi."
