Scott Parker hailed Jermain Defoe's goalscoring performance for Tottenham in victory at West Bromwich Albion.

Spurs midfielder Parker feels Defoe is as sharp as ever.

"He's probably the best around at doing that," Parker told the club's website.

"He has such a short back-lift of a shot from the edge of the box and when he's in that area, nine times out of 10 he'll score and he proved that again."
