Scott Parker is closing in on a Tottenham return.

Parker has handed Tottenham a major fitness boost by returning to action.

Parker, 32, has yet to play a first-team game this season after undergoing an achilles operation in August.

But he is closing on a return to senior action after playing the entire 90 minutes of a 5-1 reserve friendly defeat by Ipswich at Spurs Lodge.
