Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says they have room to add to his squad this month.

Fans have been excited by the arrivals of Siem de Jong and Remy Cabella after a barren run in the transfer market.

Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "We have been very much on the ball with transfers.

"If something comes along that is right for us we have got scope to move.

"Whether we do or not will depend on the finance and whether it's right."
