Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew insists he knows nothing of sale talks regarding the club.
Reports are suggesting that Magpies owner Mike Ashley has notions of selling the north east outfit in order to up his stake in financially battling Scottish club Rangers.
But Pardew has spoken out about the rumours saying that he knows absolutely nothing about Ashely's desire to listen to offers for the St James' Park club.
"That's news to me. I have heard no suggestion of that from him, or any signs from him," Pardew said.
"He has given us money to spend this summer, which hopefully we have spent well, but only time will tell. They are settling in well and that's the important thing.
"His commitment to the club is as strong as it's always been."
Ashley showed his commitment to the club during the summer transfer window by spending money on a number of signings such as Siem de Jong, Daryl Janmaat and Emmanuel Riviere while bringing in Jack Colback from rivals Sunderland and Facundo Ferreyra on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.
