Pardew facing walkout protest by Newcastle fans

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is facing a fresh fans' protest this weekend against Cardiff City.

The Daily Mail says disgruntled Newcastle fans are planning to walk out after an hour of their final home match of the season in protest at manager Pardew.

Supporters have been encouraged to exit St James' Park during Saturday's visit of Cardiff City.

United have lost six matches on the spin for the first time since 1987 and the Toon Army have called for Pardew to be axed.

Popular website nufc.com reported after defeat to Arsenal: "Post-match chatter centred on attempts to gain support for a mass walkout after 60 minutes of Saturday's visit of Cardiff City.

"Given the team's current rate of implosion, even sticking around for an hour might be beyond the call of duty.

"The lack of unity is glaringly evident and mirrors the fractured relationship between manager and fans. There's a clear need for a figurehead at this club to restore some self-respect, organisation and belief. That man is not Alan Pardew."
