Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew felt their win over Southampton lived up to the pre-match billing.
It was French Day at St James' Park and there were three Gallic scorers - Morgan Schneiderlin for Saints and Moussa Sissoko and Yohan Cabaye for Le Toon.
Pards praised the club's themed afternoon as he joked: "It was a great idea because it took a little bit of tension out of the game.
"It certainly helped us. I went to a French restaurant last night, just to get in the mood. I suffered all night with indigestion, though!"
