Pardew backing London stay for Brentford striker Toney

Former Newcastle United and Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew expects to see Ivan Toney on the move this winter.

The Brentford striker is determined to leave the London club for bigger fish in January.

Pardew believes that Toney, who is serving a betting ban until mid-January, will be signing for Arsenal.

“Toney is for me the signing (the big clubs should try to make) in January. He is the one," Pardew told talkSPORT.

"Whoever gets him, I think, will be really fortunate. I think he will end up at Arsenal, actually."

The Gunners have been linked to Toney by various UK media outlets, but clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United have also been mentioned as having an interest in Toney.
