Papua New Guinea broadcaster agrees Oceania deal

The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) has awarded a package of broadcast rights to Telikom PNG, Papua New Guinea's largest telecoms company, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Telikom PNG's EMTV network and FM100 radio station will serve as the exclusive broadcasters of all OFC-sanctioned soccer matches in Papua New Guinea for the next three years.

The package includes live and delayed coverage of all OFC championships, president's cups, the OFC national cup, and Fifa World Cup qualifiers across all platforms.

A report on EMTV's website said the rights to Australia's A-League are also included in the deal, while the network has revealed it is 'at an advanced stage' in discussions to acquire the rights to other Fifa tournaments such as the Under-20 Women's World Cup, set to be hosted by Papua New Guinea next year.
